Last night’s event with @barbacoachef was such a blast! We served over 300 people and raised over $5,000 for Philadelphia’s undocumented community. It was a privilege to serve my Rainbow Winter Radish bites which featured nearly 100% northeastern produce with help from @lancasterfarmfresh. Green and Purple Daikon with my pickled carrots, caramelized onion remoulade, cilantro, chili, chive and lime. Big thanks to Chris’ Jazz Cafe for sharing their lovely kitchen with us and for my Philly chef community for bringing it hard. Exciting news! I got a partial scholarship to @joymanning‘s @bluestoopphl food writing class starting at the end of the month. I’m looking forward to coming back to creative writing and learning from a master.

As I settle into my identities and grow more confident in my work, I’m excited to share with y’all everything I have gleaned from my travels over the years.
